Success is 1% Inspiration and 99% Perspiration

I stand against the hands of time
and the forces of complacency
as a single entity
Burning with a fervency
Yearning with anticipation
Eager to touch the hands of opportunity
And to let the embrace of success
Hug me warm into the arms
Of ambition’s endeavour
I seek and search no more
for the tools to succeed
are hidden within me
so I must delve with eagerness
and even trepidation
for who knows what greatness lies within

PRAY FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR CHILDREN

Metro February 19, 2007

“Kidnap Paedophile’s Stairway to Heaven

A paedophile who fantasised about the Soham murders and Belgian serial child killer Marc Dutroux sexually assaulted a young girl in her bed and dragged another off the street, a court heard.

Christopher Iskander, 26, secretly stalked his two victims for 18 months before using a ladder he had labelled his “stairway to heaven” to climb into the bedroom of one girl as she slept.

He carried a sawn-off shotgun marked ‘serial killer’ and climbed naked into the bedroom of a terrified nine year old. He produced a knife and subjected her to appalling abuse.

“While holding the knife in front of her, he said he had been watching her since she moved into the house 18 months ago. He said he liked children but not people of his own age. He then subjected her to various sexual acts, all the time asking her if she was enjoying it.”

Peeps, I am not one to judge and only God can make that judgement and met out the necessary punishment for someone as sadistic, cold, depraved, sick and evil as this man. Yet, I felt compelled to cast my own personal judgement. Yes, I am taking that vote of confidence from my own personal standpoint to have my say. PC I may not be, and for once, I am not bothered, because quite honestly, I am sick and tired of reading such depraved and evil reports such as this one, not to mention anything on child abuse.

So many times, when we read of such sadistic reports of individuals who inflict the most horrific crimes on the young and innocent, we say God will pass judgement. Yet I feel that sometimes, we too need to make a stand. For me, something like this needs to be dealt with in a way where these people need to feel some sort of pain or discomfort at least, for the appalling crimes they have committed against someone’s body, which is a temple of purity and innocence.

This is more than just an act of violence and sick immorality. This is not just an emotional and physical abomination on a young individual; this is not just the scarring of someone’s child, never-mind the reverberating effects it will have on the families concerned, this is something which effects are so appalling that it will ricochet into the depth of society itself. We can see how like a can of worms, cases like this are not only becoming more public knowledge, but are on the increase.

Something like this is more than just one solitary act. It is an abomination not only against these girls, against society and against mankind, but more so against God. Something like this is a reflection of the way society is heading and sadly, and in all actuality, we are at that point now.

We are all products of our environment which affects our lives, who we are at our very core, how we act, what we believe, our core values and beliefs. We are all a matter of circular events which unless the chain is broken will continue from generation to generation, whether that be generations full of curses or generations who are blessed with good luck or just blessed, whichever way the pendulum swings, we are products of our environments.

Somewhere along the line, this man suffered some sort of upheaval and deprivation in his life. Somewhere along the way, this man conceived his warped sense of reality and perception of life, of who he is as an individual. Somewhere along the way, this man lost all sense of who he was on a spiritual level. Somewhere along the way this man lost it………

Yet wherever he is coming from, what he did was more than just wrong and words cannot even conjure up what I really feel about this…may I even say creature.

For me, there is only one course of action. An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. I will not further elaborate. But research has shown that individuals like this can never really be “healed” so to speak and most often go on to commit the same heinous crimes after a period of so called rehabilitation, time after time. Many often say they cannot help themselves. But you know what, it’s time to speak out about a lot of things. It’s time for the wall of silence and inactivity to be broken. Children are suffering horrendously from all directions of society, and peeps, I’m concerned because I have two boys and I wont tell a lie, but if anyone, ever troubled my children in this way…..then I’m going to prison – that’s all I will say.

We all need to get back to ground roots – God. Our Spirituality, OUR FAITH, HAVING FAITH. Seriously. There’s a crisis in the homeland, peeps, our children are not safe anywhere, even from there own.

This is not a subject I would presume many will want to research and undoubtedly, I don’t blame you. But if curiosity gets the better of you to try to understand WHY? Then the above sites may just give you that answer.

OUR GREATEST FEAR

Dear All

Following on from my last post. I am posting this poem again because it is fear that keeps us back from really striving forward. It is not an easy journey and will not happen overnight. It is a progressive stage. Yet to truly fulfill your potential one must let go from fear. To me this poem has become my affirmation because it speaks about me. This poem is a powerful mission statement for all of us. Look inside more peeps. Don't be afraid to challenge yourself and your actions. Don't be afraid to step out into the world to make your mark.

Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate,
but that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant,
gorgeous, handsome, talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us.
It is not just in some; it is in everyone.

And, as we let our own light shine, we consciously give
other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.

THE NEW ME - CHANGE THROUGH MORE REFLECTION

Hello Everyone

Today, Wednesday 14th February has been a rather surreal day for me. Lots of thoughts, many of them confusing and conflicting have been zooming around my head. Thoughts of how much I need to be loved and to love in return. Thoughts of change on a large scale, a renewed and more confident Esther, a refined Esther, someone who has been moulded, someone whose emergence will be cataclysmic. And all because Esther needs this to occur in her life, because it’s time for change. This is not for anyone or anything, but for me and this is so liberating. This will take time, but I must start my journey now, before life becomes tired and decides to rest forever. And when I do emerge at the other side, life will be a bouquet of everything that I make it.

It’s funny how we perceive ourselves and also how we justify what we sometimes see in the mirror and how we interpret it all. Sometimes we are so completely off the mark, and by failing to notice certain things, this can prove to be quite catastrophic. Equally damaging is when we notice certain things about ourselves that are not always positive, yet we choose to remain where we are, static believing that this is me, take it or leave it. So I too, have had to look within again, deep within, not just surface stuff peeps, but real hard-core deep within.

I believe that we cannot be everyone to all people all of the time. In fact, we do not owe anyone anything, other than loyalty to ourselves, yet we must be mindful of how our presence affects not only our spirits, but those around us, our environment. Because just like a waves, life has a rippling effect.

Being in denial of how our behaviour affects not only our environment, but ourselves can be quite damaging, as this reflects back not only onto ourselves but on those around us, in our lives, the opportunities that come our way, the goodness and positivity of what we can get out of life - karma.

I know I have grown and moved on as a person over the past year. I certainly have developed along the way. This has been spurned on by my experiences, life, circumstances and by taking note of life in general. I have tried to learn from both the good and the bad experiences and it has been a painful honing and toning experience for me.

Yet from last year, I’ve had this insatiable desire to move forward even more, to make greater changes in my life and in myself. I want to become more expressive, I want to be more comfortable with who I truly am at my very core, I want to blossom. I recognise that I am still quite rigid on a few fronts, and this desire to let go and just be has been driving me crazy. Yet, I realise that when I take this leap of faith again, when I actually become so in tune with who I really am, I will explode.

I want to be able to express myself more, whether verbally or by the way I dress. I want to be more creative and confident in how I dress, because to me that is an expression of what I am about. I am actually yearning inside for this change. I want to be able to take more calculated risks, and sometimes more spontaneous risks. I want to follow my intuition more and learn to step outside my box more. I am very much aware of where I want to go and am and have worked hard to get to this point, with great success, yet there is more than I can achieve. I feel something bubbling inside of me so bad, this desire for change is compelling me to take another leap of faith into the unknown and do what my spirit is guiding me to do.

Yet, my old friend Fear certainly pops his head up from time to time, restricting me and filling my head with all sorts of nonsense, inhibiting me from truly, doing what my intuition is telling me. Yet what I realise is whether it is right or wrong, I must go believe and trust my instincts, my intuition, God’s whisper. Like Susan Jeffers says in her book “Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway” and I am now at the stage where I so want to jump and free myself from a few thing which have been holding me back from being truly me.

So, I am going to embark on this new longing with a mission of fervency. I want to embrace, this new pending me. I want to embrace all the opportunities which are coming my way with total confidence and I believe that once I start working on myself in this area, the world will truly be my oyster.

I feel it is now time to be truly who I want to be and to shake off those last remaining shackles, those limiting beliefs which have hindered me somewhat, in order to embrace the absolute fullness of life and all that it has to offer.

I know my late sister’s spirit will be joining me on this pending and exciting adventure of self-discovery, riding me forth into the spring of contentment and self-actualisation.
