Time, The Healer of All Things
Time, the healer of all things
The master and subscriber of our lives
Time, the flurry of a passing breeze
Gone within the blink of an eye
Or the slowness of death, as it oozes its way
(Un-noticed until the final curtain call)
Along the corridors of life’s frenzied busyness
Time, the perpetrator of all things
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust
Here today, gone tomorrow
Time, too short a space in terms of
The span of a lifetime, my lifetime, your lifetime
Too short an existence for us
Within the enormity and complexity of this wonderful yet
vast universe
Time… waits to be still, so that the diamonds of truth
Which are sometimes hidden within our sub-conscious
Can be found, setting our spirits and hearts free
Free to enjoy and embrace life, NOW
Free from fear, free from the looking over of ones shoulder
Free to embrace life’s goodness and love’s splendid tenure
Given freely and unconditionally by life’s kindred spirits
Free so that truth can be revealed from within the cold
Dark and lonely chambers of imprisonment
Free so that we can be set free
Mentally, spiritually, emotionally, physically
Time, waits on no man,
not even in the walk towards destiny’s beckoning call
For we can never be assured of anything other than
Life’s final curtain call
Remember:
Here today, gone tomorrow
In terms of eternity
we are like a tear drop in the vast expanse of the ocean
a minor significant existence
So start living each day with passion and vigour
live as if this day, will be your last day on earth
Start loving passionately and honestly
Build and embrace trusted and unique friendships
and remember
the most important decision you will ever make
will be who you choose to spend the rest of your life with
So that even if time, decides to steal you away early
you can say that you loved well
from the very depth of your heart and soul
